Hickory Standards is an OEM manufacturing partner for brands that need a turnkey solution, from engineering and development through to production. Our team brings together skilled alumni of the recently shuttered HBF factory, led by Jay Rubino, former head of Engineering and Product Development for HNI soft seating and the HBF brand. When you work with us, you work with people who have spent careers building upholstered products at the highest level.

Hickory, North Carolina has been the heart of American furniture making for more than a century. The skilled labor, the suppliers, and the craft knowledge never left, and neither did the people who know how to put them to work. From our factory in Hickory, we’re positioned to serve both domestic and European brands that need a partner who can bring their products and their vision to life.
How We Work
Our core team of engineers and product developers works closely with you at every stage. We take your design or your concept, engineer, build and refine prototypes until the details are right, and prepare each product for production.
